The WKF approved women's body armor with chest protection has been upgraded and now features an injection molded plastic chest protector. The upgraded protector now covers the body, chest and armpits. It is WKF approved and designed for all kumite and martial arts purposes, with a unique design specifically developed for women.

The protective body armor panels sit just below the bust line, with a Lycra chest piece above where the chest protector sits. Many female athletes find this configuration more comfortable than a single full-coverage chest protector.

The WKF approved female body protector - SMAI is manufactured according to World Karate Federation specifications and can be used in all WKF events internationally. The chest protector is tested and approved according to CE standards EN 13277/1:2000, EN 13277/3:2014 and EU 2016/425.

The ultra-light, shock-absorbing and force-dissipating materials provide the highest level of protection possible. A more comfortable fit allows unrestricted freedom of movement. This model of body armor is the preferred choice for SMAI Olympic karate athletes.

Designed to be worn under the karate uniform and will not hinder the athlete's natural range of motion. All sizes weigh under 350g.
